1. Citrus fruits such as oranges, calamansi, and grapes are packed with vitamin C which not only promotes a healthy heart but also helps slower the sugar absorption of the body.
2. Sweet potatoes unlike the regular potatoes, does not raise the blood sugar content hence gives the same nutritional value such as fibre and vitamin A.
3. Leafy veggies especially those with dark green color such as spinach and mustard greens contains low calories and carbohydrates which likely makes them very efficient to eat in larger quantities but does not affect the sugar level to raise.
4. Not to knowledge of many but Beans such as kidney beans and pinto beans which are abundant in fibre are good for diabetic persons since it makes you feel fuller and stay full longer but has moderate amount of calories.
